Я крайне предпочитаю и советую всем свободный (бесплатный) софт просто потому что он обычно лучше, либо Вы можете купить любой самостоятельно.

Я надеюсь что Вы понимаете что на одной странице ну просто совершенно не возможно описать столь объемную тему сколь-ко либо подробно и даже просто упомянуть названия не только существующих на рынке, но и просто достойных. Обширные сравнения талмуды описаний и списки оставим разработчикам и ресурсам на этом специализирующимся, вроде cmsobzor. Я предлагаю гипер краткий обзор, из которого уже большинство выберет то что ему было нужно.

  1. CMS (Content Managment System или Система Управления Сайтом). Очень популярные в наше время системы управления содержимым сайтов, позволяющие практически ничего не знать о сетевых технологиях вроде HTML, CSS и прочих. Чаще всего управление содержимом выполняется прямо в браузере и не требует знаний ничего, кроме вашей предметной области. Редакторы статей строятся по принципу WYSIWYG и в современных системах очень напоминают MS Word. Имеется множество представителей данной категории, такие как: Joomla (кстати, сайт который Вы читаете именно на ней), Drupal, DLE, phpNuke, UniCMS и многие, многие, очень многие другие.
  2. Галереи, слайдшоу: Gallery2, LightBox2, oog-gallery и другие.
  3. Форумы: phpBB, SMF, yaBB и другие.
  4. Блоги: WordPress, textPattern, b2evolution и другие.
  5. Интернет-магазины: osCommerce, PrestoShop, X-Cart и .т.д.
  6. А также доски объявлений, скрипты обмены ссылками, публикация и сбор новостей, файловые обменники и многое, многое другое... Всего просто не перечислишь, и уж точно я не буду пытаться сделать это на одной странице.
